Around 150 students of the St. Raphael’s Girls Higher Secondary School in Mylapore, Chennai, were treated to a delightful brunch on 8th August, 2022 by Isabelle, Renee and Raj Reddy, who came from South Carolina, USA. Lemon rice, vada, kesari and idlis were some of the items on the menu. Students of St. Raphael’s, a Tamil-medium school, are mainly from the local community of fisherfolk. We – Tanvi and Manasi, Champions of the Shakti Scholars’ Program at the Global Adjustments Foundation, introduced the girls to the visitors. The girls were excited to see the Reddy family, and peppered them with questions. The Principal, Mrs. Rani Prakash, made a speech, and the visitors shared their experiences too.
